The International Green Conference on Engineering Geology and Geohazards
“Earth First – A Truly Biodegradable Event”

01-03 DECEMBER 2025 I INDIA HABITAT CENTRE, NEW DELHI, INDIA

The Conference
The year-long 60 years celebrations of ISEG culminate into EGCON 2025 – the International Green Conference on 01-03 December 2025 at New Delhi. The Society also celebrates landmark years of the conference associates – 175 years of Geological Survey of India, and 50 years of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation.
Born along with the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment during the International Geological Congress at New Delhi in 1964, and like them, the ISEG has grown steadily. The IAEG sponsored EGCON 2025 follows the rich tradition of IAEG events in India – notably the 4th International Congress of the IAEG at New Delhi in 1982. Sponsored by the energy major Greenko Energies Private Limited, the conference provides a vibrant platform for exchanging state-of-the-art development in the fields of engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, and geohazards. Besides the opportunity of interaction with experts from industry and academia, exposure to the diverse culture and traditional hospitality would be on display on the sidelines of the event.
With India making significant strides in renewable energy, and with the availability of 70 GW solar power, the focus now is on developing a whopping 47 GW of pumped storage capacity in the next decade. Many a pumped storage projects are in different stages of development across the country. EGCON 2025 offers an exceptional platform to the delegates for showcasing their technical expertise and an opportunity for participation in this phenomenal development.

The Venue
The EGCON 2025 shall be held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, a prestigious convention center in New Delhi. The campus weaves in a unique interplay of institutions, supporting infrastructure and facilities such as conference venues, auditoria, hospitality areas, the library, resource center, and art galleries. Elegantly designed, the campus is a hub of activity while remaining serene. The architectural and design elements enable it to be a paradoxical blend of landscaping, horticulture and fountains.
